55-year-old David Abbott thought he may have been holding a profitable lottery ticket when the clerk who sold the scratcher to him said she thought it might be a winner. Abbot bought the “5 Times Bingo” scratcher ticket at the Hermann Fuel Mart off Highway 19.
AbbotT says he then went home to cool off in the A/C and play his ticket in front of the TV. After scratching off the laminate on the Missouri game, Abbott thought he won 1,000 dollars. Abbott says, “I didn’t have my glasses on.”
When the Hermann man looked at the winning ticket again on his way back to the fuel mart, he realized his winning were much greater. AbbotR says a new washer and dryer could be in his immediate future, adding that he’s not quite sure what to do with the money yet, but wants to have a little fun.
