Hermann's girls remained undefeated

Lady Bearcats take FRC match at St. Clair in two
     Hermann's girls remained undefeated in Four Rivers Conference volleyball play with a two-game win at St. Clair last Thursday. The scores were 25-10, 25-14.    The Lady Bearcats pulled away from a 5-4 lead in the first set by scoring six straight points. At one point they tallied 12 of the 14 points scored and saw their lead go to 17-6.      The second game was tied at 6-6 when Hermann took control and built a 13-8 lead.    Shelby Winkelmann and Lauren Dudgeon, both seniors, led the hitting as Winkelmann knocked down 11 kills in 16 attempts while Dudgeon nailed seven kills in 10 attacks.    Winkelmann added eight digs and Laura Rethemeyer had seven.    Hannah Steinbeck of   Hermann served three aces.    Hermann had a .510 kill percentage, putting down 26 in 51 swings.    Kaitlyn LaBoube finished with 22 assists.    The Lady Bearcats won the junior varsity match 25-17. 25-19, and Hermann's ninth grade team also won in two, 25-10, 25-6.    Hermann's ninthgraders took an 11-0 lead in the second set.
