A sign of fall: Watch out for deer!

Avoid deer collisions

- Be especially alert at dawn and dusk

- If you see one deer, assume there are more

- Don't swerve to avoid deer

- Brake firmly and hold onto steering wheel

- After crash, stay away from deer - it may not be dead

- Call police and insurance company

- Don't rely on deer whistles
