This Veterans Day, a famous cartoon strip is causing quite a controversy, offending many veterans and their families.
The author of Thursday’s Garfield comic strip is apologizing profusely for something he says was unintentional and regrettable

But some local veterans aren't so accepting.

  1. I agree that the cartoon strip is offensive. I accept Jim Davis' apology. Based upon his family's connections to the military, I doubt that he meant anything malicious. I feel he just wasn't thinking when he created this Garfield strip.

  2. Good point Mr. Schaefer.

    Sometimes after I post a story here on my blog, I find myself wondering...What in the world was I thinking... then I pull the story before I offend my blessed wife or mother.

    One thing I would like people to remember is...Don't be mad at Garfield...it was that stupid spider with the big mouth...Garfield should have whacked him as soon as he open his trap!!!
