Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 8:12 PM CST on December 15, 2010

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST
Thursday...

A Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain remains in effect
until 6 am CST Thursday.

* Timing... precipitation was spreading northeastward across
parts of Missouri and Illinois. Most of the accumulating
precipitation should end by daybreak Thursday.

* Accumulations... ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch
are possible. There may also be minor accumulations of light
snow or sleet.

* Impacts... untreated roads... sidewalks... and parking lots will
become extremely slippery. Missouri Department of Transportation
officials report extremely hazardous Road conditions and advise
against unnecessary travel.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory is issued for a variety of winter
weather conditions... such as snow... blowing snow... sleet... or
freezing drizzle and rain. It only takes a small amount of wintry
precipitation to make roads... bridges... sidewalks... and parking
lots icy and dangerous. It is often difficult to tell when ice
begins to form... so do not be caught off guard.
