Owensville Power and Light Department linemen, along with three linemen from the city of Hermann's electric department, replaced a utility pole Wednesday which was damaged Tuesday night by a tractor-trailer driver attempting to turn right onto North Cedar off East Apple.

Power was out for approximately 30 minutes to much of the city's north side following the incident reported at 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 28. Linemen shut off power to the circuit for safety concerns as the broken pole was secured with a boom-arm truck. The No. 4 primary line services the area east of Oak Street and the area north along Springfield Road.
