Hermann High School senior Lauren Dudgeon, signs letter of intent to play for East Central College - Missouri

NEWEST FALCON -- Congratulations to Hermann High School senior middle hitter Lauren Dudgeon, seated at center, who recently, signed a letter of intent to play Volleyball for ECC next season.

Dudgeon, a 5-10 senior was a three-year volleyball starter for Hermann.  She also played on two Class 2 state championship teams and one that placed second.

Hermann won the Class 2 state title this year, defeating St. Pius X of Festus, finishing with a 34-4-3 record.
 

"We are really happy to have Lauren become part of our program," said Coach Brad Bruns. "She's a solid player and a strong blocker. She continues a Hermann pipeline that has been good to us."
 

Dudgeon led the Lady Bearcats in solo blocks (30) this year. She was second in kills (176) and was among the team leaders in digs with 186.
 

She is the first signee for Coach Bruns this year, and joins   a long list of Hermann High School volleyball players who have gone to ECC.
 

Four years ago Erica LaBoube, Jamie Murray and Alyssa Speckhals, all from Hermann, were instrumental in leading ECC to the school's first trip to the NJCAA Division II national tournament. This year three players from Hermann, Kasey Kirchhofer, Lacey Lackman and Hilary Trevino were on the ECC team that went to nationals.
