Hidden Valley ski resort in Wildwood opened a new inner tube attraction in January, and it’s raising questions of safety.

Instead of skiing down a hill, on the “Polar Plunge”, guests lie down on a special inner tube and slide down the hill.

Hidden Valley says there is risk involved, but says there have only been 18 injuries among the 4,000 riders it’s had since the attraction opened January 3. None of the injuries have been serious.
The resort has 120 ski patrollers – some paid and some volunteer. There are a minimum of four ski patrollers staffed at the Polar Plunge.
