Independence, Mo (CNN) -- A small plane landed on a street in Missouri early this morning after losing engine power.
Police say it was going from St. Louis to Kansas City.
They say the engine lost 80 percent of its power at first, and the pilot tried to find another airport. But then it cut out completely, and he had to land on the road.
Police managed to steer the plane off to the side, so cars could get through.
The pilot wasn't hurt and was able to walk away.
