Monday afternoon around three o'clock Union Police were called to Frick's Market in Union to investigate a shoplifting incident.
Upon questioning of the 24-year-old female suspect from Berger, police realized she was familiar to local officers, as her criminal record showed previous charges involving methamphetamine use.
Franklin County Narcotics Officer Scott Briggs arrived on the scene for back up and searched the car for stolen items from Frick's.
In the suspect's car driven by a male accomplice, police not only found Filet Mignon that the Berger woman admitted to stealing for a barbeque, but also coffee filters, lighter fluid and lithium batteries.
Except for the filets, these are common ingredients used to make meth. Further search of the suspect's vehicle produced a small amount of methamphetamine.
The Berger woman was taken into custody, booked and later released that evening for the possesion of a controlled substance.
