JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — State park officials are seeking ideas from the public about the future of Missouri's Katy Trail.
The hiking and biking trail runs for about 240 miles from the St. Charles area to the west-central town of Clinton, generally following an old railroad line near the Missouri River.
A public meeting is scheduled June 4 on the trail's future between Matson in St. Charles County to the town of Portland, about 30 miles east of Jefferson City. Topics will include repairing the surface of the trail and plans for drainage.
The meeting starts 9:30 a.m. at the Dutzow trailhead near Missouri 94 in Warren County.
