#4 East Central College Volleyball: Pep rally to be held...ECC Gym Tuesday--Nov 16 at 10:45 AM

ECC Womens Volleyball Team (Union, Missouri): Jumps to #4 in the NJCAA-Division II rankings - their highest ranking ever. 

The 36-7 East Central College Falcons are heading the Wisconsin Dells for the NJCAA National Tournament for the third year in a row with their sights set on bringing home the National Championship.  The NJCAA Nationals will be held November 18-20..


A pep rally will be held in the ECC Gym Tuesday, November 16, at 10:45 a.m. prior to the bus departing at 11:30 a.m.

Coach Brad Bruns and the East Central College volleyball team have enjoyed success the past several weeks.  They currently sit at #4 in the NJCAA-Division II rankings - their highest ranking ever.  They also claimed the championship of the Midwest Community College Athletic Conference with an 8-0 record.  
In addition to earning the conference championship, Coach Bruns was named MCCAC Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season.  Four players recceived 1st Team All-Conference Honors:  Kirchhofer, Joyce,  Kelly and Borgerding.  Trevino was named 2nd Team All-Conference.
Three weeks ago Kirchhofer was named NJCAA Division II player of the week.  Teammate Aleisha Joyce received the same honor in September.

2010 REGION 16 / DISTRICT O CHAMPS!


A season goal of winning the NJCAA Region 16/District O Championship was achieved by the NJCAA #4 East Central College Falcons.

The NJCAA National Tournament will be held in Wisconsin November 18-20. ECC is seeded fourth and will face #13 Kirkwood Community College in the first round at 3 p.m. next Thursday.  Kirkwood is seeded thirteenth.  The Falcons defeated them in late October.  ECC has won on both occasions when they’ve faced Kirkwood this season.
This marks ECC's third consecutive trip to nationals.
