Linn State Technical College to offer EMT training - Missouri

Starting in January, Linn State Technical College will offer an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic course on Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
 

Linn State’s EMTBasic course, accredited by the state of Missouri’s Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, prepares students for the National   Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam.
 

According to Shelle Jacobs, Business and Industry coordinator, the curriculum follows EMT basic national standards.
 

“Students will experience multiple learning environments throughout the course including classroom lecture, practical skills   demonstrations and clinical experiences,” said Jacobs.
 

Course tuition includes application fees, textbook, workbook and approximately 17 weeks of classroom and hands-on instruction.

 “Students will also receive a computer soft   ware study guide and access to the college’s library facilities throughout the course,” said Jacobs.
