L&S is holding a large used machinery auction on Thursday, Dec. 30, starting at 9 a.m.
The John Deere dealership in Hermann will be changing names Monday, Jan. 3, 2011. L & S Equipment, Inc. of Hermann will become the 10th location of Sydenstricker Implement Co., based in Mexico, Mo. Steve and Donna Bockting sold their dealership to the Sydenstricker firm after operating the business for nearly 24 1/2 years. The Bocktings started their L&S Equipment business as a John Deere dealership in August 1986. It is located on Highway 100, 4 miles west of Hermann.
Steve Bockting and the rest of the employees will remain at the John Deere dealership in Hermann. Bockting will work in the sales department.
