Halak, Blues shut out Predators 3-0

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Jaroslav Halak made 24 saves for his second shutout of the season and 11th overall, and the St. Louis Blues beat Nashville 3-0 on Thursday night, handing the Predators their first regulation loss of the season.
Alexander Steen, Patrik Berglund and Matt D'Agostini scored.
Nashville has lost four straight at home, dropping the first three in overtime.

2 Nights of Halloween: This Weekend In Hermann

Halloween events are on two nights this weekend plus normal Halloween Night.

     Hundreds of kids in the Hermann area will be given several opportunities to trick-or-treat this year, with Friday and Sunday events planned    Halloween falls on Sunday this year, but over 50 Hermann businesses will welcome youngsters on Friday evening from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The downtown merchants have been handing out candy to youngsters for the past five years.    Then on Sunday, the annual Halloween event will be held in the lower city park, at the rear of the firehouse.      This event will start at 5:30 p.m.    Hermann-area emergency service agencies--police, sheriff, EMS and fire department personnel will partner with the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and various other organizations in handing out treats to all trick-or-treaters. 
Since Halloween falls on Sunday, the normal curfew hours for minors apply.

MU won't pursue trespassing charges against Tigers fans

COLUMBIA, MO. - Officials said today the University of Missouri won't pursue trespassing charges against 30 Tigers fans who rushed the field last weekend after MU's win over the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners.
In a prepared statement released Thursday afternoon, MU Chancellor Brady Deaton said the university will not forward the trespassing summonses to the Columbia prosecutor.

  Footings were poured last week for three additional classrooms that will serve special needs students in the Gasconade County R-1 School District. The addition is being constructed in front of Hermann High School. J.E. Foster Building Company of St. Louis is the general contractor, and has been using local sub-contractors for some of the work. Holts Summit, Mo (KSDK) -- Police announced Joshua Maylee, the suspect in the Callaway County homicide investigation, was captured without incident in Cooper County.
