The record for flooding on the Gasconade River at Hazelgreen is nearly 34 feet. Laclede County Emergency Manager John Ayres tells KTTS News that by the time this wet spell ends, it could get pretty close to there again.
He says they've had to do some limited evacuations in the Falcon area and preparatory evacuations in the Hazelgreen area.
Ayres says there are just a few people that live in these areas on a regular basis, and they were ready to go once emergency crews gave the word.
