Internet Tax for Gasconade Co. Consumers on ballot November 2 a.k.a INTERNET TAX

County use tax on Nov. 2 ballot
Gasconade County residents will get a chance to vote on a county-wide use-tax in next Tuesday's election.    Commissioners put the proposition on the November ballot to capture some the sales tax that is being missed on out-of-state sales.    A use-tax imposes a tax on purchases made online and out of state.
It would apply only to those who spend more than $2,000  online or outside Missouri in a calendar year.    The use tax does not apply if the purchase is from a Missouri retailer and subject to Missouri sales tax.    The responsibility of remitting use taxes falls on the consumer, but not everyone who buys a pair of shoes or a book online would have to pay the tax. Only those who spend more than $2,000 a year on merchandise from the Internet or out-ofstate vendors are affected.

"I also want to compliment the citizens for their patience on the October weekends, with all the traffic they had to encounter. But I know most of them understand the benefits from those weekends." . Two-thirds of Americans believe country going off on the wrong track

NEW YORK , N.Y. - October 25, 2010 - President Obama is spending the next week crisscrossing the country in support of Democratic candidates before this year's midterm elections. While the president may do a great job of energizing the base, he may not be able to convert any Independents who have yet to decide for whom they will vote. Currently, two-thirds of Americans (67%) have a negative opinion of the job President Obama is doing while just over one-third (37%) have a positive opinion. This continues the president's downward trend and he is now at the lowest job approval rating of his presidency.

Millions Of Unemployed Americans Now Live As Paupers

October 26, 2010

unemployed7.jpg

Widespread long-term chronic unemployment was something that America was never supposed to see again.

Most Americans still do not understand just how bad the economic horror we are facing really is.  Today, millions of Americans are living as paupers in the land that their foreathers built even as America’s infrastructure is literally being sold out from under their feet by corrupt politicians.  The “official” unemployment rate in the United States has been at nine and a half percent or above for 14 consecutive months, and today it takes the average unemployed American about 35 weeks to find a job.  However, the “official” unemployment rate is misleading, because it does not include workers that have quit looking for work or that have had their hours cut back to part-time.
