Local Softball Mom and Daughter Get Wonderful 300 Dollar Surprise

Work, college classes, after-school activities for the kids, housework, etc...there never seems to be enough hours in the day for a Mom constantly on the go!!!

Then there is the cost of running a houseful of kids, especially for a Single Mom...never enough money to do everything...yet Moms' do it every day, seldom to complain.  Mother's deserve more breaks than they usually get!!!

Which brings me to the point of this story.  A story of a local, Single Mom, who, this last week, caught a wonderful break.

Earlier this week Facebook Friend Wendi Busch posted and commented on her FB Wall the following (in her own words):

What a Monday! Thanks to the nice person in Owensville that found my daughters softball bag & turned it in to the school! Happy to know a $120 glove is not lost forever.

Yes that made a hectic morning seem a lot better! That would have been $300 gone. She was pretty upset to not have cleats, a bat, or glove this morning!

ya I felt pretty lucky! I knew it was long gone but I called the Owensville High School and they said someone had turned it in to them & they would deliver it to us on Tuesday. So glad nobody decided to keep it! My son lost a glove in Rhineland last year and we left the field drove to the end of 94 turned around went straight back and it was gone never to be seen again. So I was thankful!

Just as promised the bag and gear were delivered safe and sound!!!

Wendi later informed me that:

"We tried finding out who returned it so we could thank her but the school didn't know. We are going to publish a Thank You in the Owensville paper."

I think everyone reading this would agree, it's a great thing to see, that there still are people in the world that do the honest thing, without expecting nor seeking recognition or anything else in return.  A Great Lesson for ALL!!! God Bless Them!!!
